About Me

I am a family and individual therapist located in Berkeley, California. In addition to my counseling practice, I provide workshops and consultation to schools and organizations. I specialize in helping communities in their efforts to more thoughtfully integrate new technologies into the lives of young people. I write about these issues for a wide range of publications, train educators and clinicians and present at parent education events.

As a clinical social worker, I have worked at a number of programs in the Bay Area including Access Institute for Psychological Services, Rosa Parks Primary School Family Resource Center and The Boyer House Foundation.  My technology background includes working as the Director of The Computer Clubhouse, an Intel-sponsored program for kids that encourages creative projects through the use of new technologies.

Additionally, I hold a Master of Arts degree from California Institute of the Arts in Critical Studies with an emphasis in New Media. As both a psychotherapist and an educator I have helped adults, children, teens, and families with a wide range of issues.
